Mr. Crocket

Synopsis

As an elite ‘financial fixer,’ Mr. Crocket weaves his way through the seam of law and crime. Loosely set in the dark yet captivating world of London’s financial districts, the story of Crocket revolves around white-collar crime and street hustling. Crocket has built his reputation around precision, inconsistency, and discretion, and understands better than anybody the importance of making problems disappear for the powerful.

Unlike his clients, Crocket seems to have a moral code he strictly adheres to. For one, he refuses to take on any violent, drug ridden, or human-trafficking work. While he is a predator on the outside, he considers himself a cleaner. Instead of blood, his hands are stained with ink.

However, nothing is as easy as it appears to be. After accepting the money laundering case for a tech magnate who goes by the name of Miranda Voss, Crocket’s quiet life turns into a hectic mess. He must now attempt to untangle the ‘Shadow Crown’ rumors surrounding Voss and her meteoric rise in power linked to corporate espionage and insider trading. The job comes with promises of a week-long duration, hefty pay, and thick layers of corporate deniability, but is it ever that simple?

Before long, Mr. Crocket finds himself caught up in a complex web of conspiracy that includes cryptocurrency thefts, crooked police, and an elusive international cybercrime syndicate. Worse, a dogged Interpol investigator Selene Park (Gemma Chan) is getting closer to his operations, determined to capture him while becoming increasingly fascinated by the reason he does what he does.

When the stakes are raised, Mr. Crocket sets out on what turns out to be a dangerous game of cat and mouse, using his charm and wit in equal measures to deal with both law enforcement and the ruthless killers who consider him expendable. When Crocket discovers the empire built by Miranda Voss is grounded in something far more sinister than financial fraud, it becomes personal. It involves people from his dark past.

In a climactic finale full of tension and adrenaline, alliances are shattered, loyalty is put to the test, and Mr Crocket is faced with a life-defining decision where he must choose to either keep fleeing from his past or confront it and risk everything for a chance to make amends.
