Synopsis

Everything changes when he is approached by renowned movie producer Gail Meyer (Hannah Waddingham) who informs him that his former fling Jody is now the director of a big budget sci-fi film Metalstorm and specifically requested for him to be the stunt coordinator on the film. Colt is eager to find out if he can rekindle his romance with Jody and thus decides to leave his slump, and head to Sydney, Australia for the shooting of the film.
Only in Australia does Colt learn the shocking truth bout Jody not wanting him to come. To make matters worse, the A-List cast Tom Ryder (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) has mysteriously disappeared. As Gail tries to maintain everything under wraps so the public doesn’t know about the Tom, she hires Colt to find him. This simple favor quickly escalates into a life threatening mission involving identity theft, deepfake, coverup murder, and blackmail.
As Colt unravels the mystery, he uses his skills as a stuntman not only for stage fights, but for actual escapes and life-threatening situations which require extreme prejudice to squeeze through. Simultaneously, Colt investigates ways to smooth things over with Jody, win back her faith, and attempt to finish the movie amidst the calamity. Ultimately, Colt Seavers ends up literally and symbolically as the sacrificial lamb, taking the blame for everything that went wrong so others wouldn’t have to—serving as a reminder to other Hollywood Blockbuster lovers about the courage behind every stunt performed in films.
Cast & Crew
Ryan Gosling takes on the part of Colt Seavers, an awe we\ary yet charming stunt performer. The Role required Gosling to blend physical comedy and emotional vulnerability to portray Colt’s character. With Gosling already balancing action (Drive, Blade Runner 2049) and humor (The Nice Guys, Barbie), he managed to balance all the facets of a multi-dimensional character.
Emily Blunt portrays Colt’s ex-wife and the passionate filmmaker, Jody Moreno, struggling from burnout. She plunged all her energy into her first major motion picture, directed by her own self. Blunt balanced Gosling’s energy filled performance with a heartfelt and grounded delivery.
